The International
MOMS Club® was started in the fall of 1983 by our founder Mary
B. James. The first chapter was in Simi Valley, California. Word
spread about the wonderful support that MOMS Club offers
stay-at-home mothers, and we became a national organization in
1985 and an international one in 1996. Now we have over 2000
chapters with 100,000+ members in the US alone - and more
chapters are starting every month both in the US and
internationally!
MOMS Club takes pride in supporting local charities in addition
to the Mother-to-Mother Fund®. This is a special charitable fund
organized by the International MOMS Club and supported by local
chapters. It was started after the 1994 Northridge/Simi Valley
earthquake to help MOMS Club mothers suffering from natural
disasters. The next year it was expanded to also help MOMS Club
members experiencing devastating personal emergencies and
disasters. Thousands of dollars were distributed to those MOMS
Club members who lost their husbands in the September 11th
tragedy.
The MOMS Club of Sturbridge Area in 2001 and started with 10
moms. We have grown and currently have about 60 members.

At this time, our
membership is open to Moms in Sturbridge, Spencer, Brimfield, Holland,
Brookfield and East Brookfield. As a member, you will receive a monthly
newsletter with a calendar of scheduled events. Feel free to participate
in as many or as few outings each month as you desire. We have monthly
meetings, park play days, holiday parties, outings for mothers and their
children, playgroups, and a monthly MOMS Night Out. In addition we do
service projects for the community.
Because MOMS Club® understands that choosing to stay home with your
children is often accompanied by considerable financial sacrifice, dues
are only $25 per year. This goes towards expenses such as postage,
photocopies, national dues, and our monthly newsletter. Payment
arrangements can be made if dues are a hardship.
